Office plants have so many benefits that it is difficult to understand why some work places are without them. There are many different species that will tolerate indoor conditions. Some are inured to environments that are extremely harsh and others have evolved to grow in shady forests where they seldom receive direct sunlight. It is often best to choose modest and unassuming specimens that will survive neglect, even hostility in the form of in the form of coffee or cigarettes deposited around their roots.

These flowers are best suited to the desk of someone who enjoys such a work companion and will actually think about its welfare on the way to work.
