In the provincial or rural places, a green roof may also be visually pleasing as it sort of like imitates the green environment around it. In city areas, a house with a green roof has a higher real estate value.

It provides excellent insulation. According to previous researches, it can cool up to around 26% of the total heat in the house especially during summer where heat can sometimes cause sickness and discomfort.

Green roofs also have the ability to reduce electrical power expenses. Why is that so? Green roofs are actually proven to strengthen the life of your electricity and other components of it for about three times. These kinds of roofs protect your base roof from weather and seasonal effects of high temperatures or even fluctuating ones.

Even governments from all across the globe support the installation of green roofs for homes and buildings. This is because the governments of various countries now realize the importance of greening due to the highly visible effects of climate change. Not only that, green roofs are proven to minimize heat so it is good to manage urban heat in busy and populated city areas. This can minimize the uncomfortable feeling one usually feels while in an urban area.
