Use Shrubs To Beautify Your Garden


Almost every garden boasts of at least a couple of tees with a great range of shrubs. Trees in your garden often add up to the grace to any landscape with their height and color while small trees shrubs or specially the flowering category such as hydranges, lilacs and crabapples often form the main attraction in the garden. They can be planted in beds and also planted as borders which can be on their own or as mixed borders with perennial or with other plants. A perfect example of such mixed borders can be one that includes small flowering trees such as rhododendron shrubs or ornamental pears. This combination can look attractive in particularly every season.

You can plant them near the boundaries of your garden in a perfect screen. However a carefully positioned shrubs and trees can be used to mask or even at corner of a building or at other obstruction areas which detracts from the beauty of your garden. The shrubs and trees are particularly evergreen from its windbreaks. Moreover these would look amazing against a house while they would also act in breaking the intensity of strong, high speed and howling winds during the winters or monsoons.

In case it is a harsh sunny afternoon that you need to block from entering your room then you can choose trees which have dense growth of leaves to be placed at places which can block sunlight. You can use the walls of your house or the compound as support for tree and shrubs. However it would surely depend on the architecture of the building and also whether their appearance might be enhanced by the planted shrubs against them.

The specimen or individual trees shrubs can be also be planted in lawns as the focal point of your garden. The plants with attractively colored and shaped leaves can be ideal for this purpose. Moreover the flowering shrubs or those which grow berries along with trees with colored bark can look quite elegant when grown in your garden. In case you have a rock garden then selection of miniature trees and shrubs can be wise.

Today, bonsai is a specialized art as the plant can certainly add to the uniqueness of your rock garden. Some formal hedges, with our without any topical art or also informal flowering hedges can provide attractive background for different planting schemes and can certainly add to the beauty of your garden or lawn.
