Beautify And Protect Your Home With Garden Walling: Expert Tips

If you are thinking about garden walling, then you need to consider a few options open to you. Firstly, if you already have a stunning lawn and flower garden, ask yourself why would you want to hide your beautiful garden from passers by? If it is purely for safety and privacy reasons, then by all means you should erect a wall that will suite your home.

Another adage is when those pesky burglars tend to make their rounds, they will be faced with your walls and this will make them think twice before they make the effort to enter onto your property. So when choosing your material, make sure it is sturdy, durable and thick enough. It should also blend in with your home and compliment your garden rather than blemish it.

There is nothing to beautiful and natural looking as a stone wall. It is striking and one can stare at it's layout forever. Go for the scavenged look and not the factory type. These are cheaper in any case. Make sure that the bigger stones are laid first with the lighter smaller ones following as the wall increases in height. Use a strong cement to bind the rocks. This type of wall is going to last you forever as it will withstand adverse weather like heavy snowfalls or monstrous twisters. Another plus in my book is that the stones are maintenance free, there is no need to paint or seal.

Second choice for garden walls would be brick. Having a wider range to choose from a brick wall can be really decorative if it is mixed with rod iron or wood. Should you want to brick your entire property, then there are plenty of good qualified bricklayers to choose from. Do also check if you need planning to be done before you build. Some counties are strict and you would have to hand in a professional drawn plan to your local authorities.

Another popular way to wall your garden is with prefabricated concrete. These can be erected quickly and also come in a myriad of colors and patterns to choose from. Price wise they are relatively inexpensive.

Maybe you fancy hedging your garden. This is so much better, but it will take lots of time and patience to grow your hedge. If you don't mind waiting on nature, then do choose this option. Get evergreen plants to you will be blessed with a green wall all year round.

Garden walling is a wonderful way to enhance your home, not just aesthetically, but by erecting a really beautiful creation it will increase the value of your property as well.
