With so many materials, it can be a bit overwhelming when attempting to think how to use all of them. I should know, I have been crippled by making choices before. There are some tricks I have to find a way around this:
Select A Background
When beginning a new page, I start by finishing the background first and working my way up. Regularly I find that the page practically sets itself out when you do it this way.
Here is a few tricks for your school scrapbook background:
Use the pages from old textbooks as the backing. It is not like you're going to use them any more and they are well out of date by now, so you can't sell them back.
Become arty with your old art supplies and color in your background for the art section of your album.
Use pages from your old school diary as a background, this truly adds some personality to your pages.
When considering what to put in as the main content, look for stuff such as class pictures, notes you may have kept from class and old school newsletters.
One again, you can take bits out of your diary I know mine had many great quotes and funny pictures drawn in it.
You may call your old school and see whether they have any materials they may be throwing out or not using, and would be happy to give you.
Hopefully this has helped out with any hurdles you will have had with your school scrapbook, having you well on your way to your next masterpiece!
