The good news is it doesn't have to be tough to overcome these issues and complete your album!
I have listed the most typical issues scrappers encounter when putting together their school scrapbook :
I am not sure where to start!
I hear this a lot and its simple to understand why. College was a huge part of your adolescence. Possibilities are several of your current friends today were made in class. And with it spanning over twelve years, there are a LOT of memories you will want to capture in the one book.
I find its simpler to split the book up into 3 sections - the years when you started, your middle school years and then your last years - winding up with your graduation!
This makes it a natural progression that's easy to follow and organize.
I have thrown out all my old school stuff!
This might seem like a big problem at the beginning but listen to me its not as large as it seems.
There are a few easy, and fast things you can do to get your hands on some of your old school material.
Firstly , most schools have copies of their year level pictures. A fair number of these have digital/scanned in copies. You should be easily be able to make contact with your former school and get copies of these - there could be a small charge for this.
Get onto the Web - if you have a Facebook account, you ought to be capable of finding some of your former school mates. Get in contact with them and ask if they have any of the old school stuff they don't want or use any more. I was able to get some nice stuff this way.
Eventually, return to your former school. Tell them what you are up to and ask them if there are any materials they can part with. Used diaries, school newsletters and even a detention forms can really add some real flavor to your next school scrapbook.
That is all for this time, remember keep an open mind when making your school scrapbook and you will be able to overcome any problem!
Keep your eyes peeled for part two!
