Cheap Scrapbooking Supplies - The Easy Way

In my last article, I went over some great places to find materials for your next scrapbooking project, many of which were found in the home. While the home is a good spot to find these materials, sooner or later you're going to run out of places to look and things to use in your albums.

To get ahold of more cheap scrapbooking supplies, I have come up with 1 or 2 more ideas to get more materials for your next album.

Digital Resources

One place that I have overlooked in my earlier articles is the Internet. This is a gold mine of places to get free and very cheap materials.

I am really not talking about shopping for your materials from online craft shops, I am referring to websites where users just give away stuff absolutely free.

There are a number of sites, for example Freecycle, where people have bits and pieces that they're happy to give away for free. These are mostly such items as TVs and appliances that are not used, but sometimes people give away boxes of materials, sewing items and extra fabric that is not being used.

Keep an eye open and you can really get some great stuff.

Scrapbooking Swaps

This is one of my best techniques of getting inexpensive and free scrapbooking materials. If you have a bunch of friends or folks inquisitive about cheap scrapbooking, then you need to really think about organizing a scrapbooking swap.

This is a meet where everybody brings a box or boxes of left over materials, scraps and bits and piece and lays them out on one of the tables at the meet, or if there isn't any room, just leaves the box open for folks to look through.

You then go between the tables and other peoples boxes and take the things and materials you will be able to find a use for.

This is a great way to get cheap scrapbooking materials, dispose of some things that you can't use and meet new friends (or catch up with old mates) and also its a lot of fun!

So there you have it, two more good ideas to get more cheap scrapbooking materials. I'm certain that you can't wait to use them!
